TO BE REVISED
The vision of the Lord (6:1-7)
The situation at the end of the reign of Uzziah, King of Judah, was unfortunate, as we see in the previous chapter. This vision of Isaiah took place during the last year of that Kingdom (759 BC).
As Isaiah's account, he had the vision of "Lord seated on a high and lofty throne, and the shores of his robe filled the temple. In John 12:39 -41 we have confirmation that the "Lord of hosts" is God the son, who later became incarnate as Jesus Christ, and "is about all things, God, blessed forever" (Romans 9:5). The magnificence of the Lord is the subject of the beautiful Psalm 104.
The "high and lofty throne" where sat illustrates his supreme position and authority over the entire universe, including about the world in which we live, created by him, and "the banks of his robe filled the temple. His clothing consists of light (Psalm 104) and fills the celestial Temple, such as the cloud filled the Tabernacle (Exodus 40:35).
The Lord was surrounded by "Seraphim", "Seraphim" is a word that is already in the plural in Hebrew, and only appears in this chapter in the entire Bible. These celestial beings, whose forms are not described, they had faces, feet, hands and wings. The six wings, in three pairs, covering their faces and feet in humility and reverence and held in position by the throne of the Lord. In the New Testament we read of four "living creatures" (Revelation 4:1-11, 5:1-14, etc.). Would be the same? As the "Seraphim", had six wings, and seem to be the closest beings of the throne of God.
The Seraphim proclaimed the sanctity of "Lord of hosts" each other, and that "the whole earth is full of his glory" (or rather "his glory is the fullness of the whole earth"): in figures 14:21 the Lord promises that his glory fill the whole earth, in Isaiah 11:9 that in the Millennium the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord and in Habakkuk 2:14 that in the Millennium the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the glory of the Lord. The glory of the Lord is revealed by their deeds, the beauty of the universe for example, and she reveals by his righteousness vista through time, culminating in the Millennium.
The threshold of the door of the temple moved with the voice of the Seraphim that once proclaimed, and the temple was filling with smoke. Its effect was to produce deep conviction of sin in Isaiah and then take him to the confession of his impurity. Its purification was immediate, when they touched his lips for hot live taken from the altar for one of the Seraphim, who then stated that their iniquity had been taken away and your SIN forgiven.
The whole sight was the preparation suitable for solemn testimony that Isaiah would give the people. It wasn't the start of his testimony, but a special occasion. If we want to participate in any particular service to you, we can only make it effective after we accept the atoning sacrifice of Christ to clean our hearts from sin.
The mission given to Isaiah by Lord (6:8-13)
After being purified with the glowing ember of the altar, Isaiah heard the voice of the Lord that I wondered who would be Your Messenger. He quickly volunteered for the work, and received his mission: to declare the word of the Lord for a people already blind and hardened by the rejection of the message.
Verses 9 and 10 do not describe the purpose of the Ministry of Isaiah, but its inevitable result. These verses are quoted in the new testament to explain the rejection of the Messiah by Israel. The people have perverted their ways so that was already beyond the possibility of conversion and healing. A man can harden both with evil that reject salvation through faith in Jesus Christ (thus sinning against the Holy Spirit), and his condition becomes hopeless, bringing punitive judgment of God then about you (Matthew 13:15, Acts 28:27, Romans 11:8).
Isaiah then asked "How long, O Lord?", that is, how much longer would the judgments of God fall upon your people? The answer was "until the Lord have removed away from their land, and men are many places abandoned in the middle of the Earth. "
God will save a remnant (less than one tenth), but even this remnant will have to go through the great tribulation. This Holy seed is like the stump of a large tree that survives after the rest of the tree have been destroyed.

Isaiah's Vision of the Lord
1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple.
2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
3 And one cried to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!"
4 And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 So I said: "Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts."
6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar.
7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged."
Isaiah's Commission from the Lord
8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me."
9 And He said, "Go, and tell this people: 'Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.'
10 "Make the heart of this people dull, And their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And return and be healed."
11 Then I said, "Lord, how long?" And He answered: "Until the cities are laid waste and without inhabitant, The houses are without a man, The land is utterly desolate,
12 The LORD has removed men far away, And the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.
13 But yet a tenth will be in it, And will return and be for consuming, As a terebinth tree or as an oak, Whose stump remains when it is cut down. So the holy seed shall be its stump."
